Goodwill accepts any brand of PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals, cell phones, video game systems, hardware, and software regardless of condition.
When you donate a computer, printer or peripheral devices you keep dangerous materials out of the landfill and provide valuable work for employees who refurbish computers for resale in our retail stores or de-manufacture them to be recycled through our Reconnect partnership with Dell.
Donating a Computer is Safe
Donated computers suitable for sale in Goodwill stores are processed using specialty software in accordance with U.S. Department of Defense standards to destroy personal data left on hard drives. Older computers are de-manufactured and hard drives are destroyed. Our Processes are audited monthly by a Dell representative.
While Goodwill takes steps to verify erasure or destruction of data on storage devices, Goodwill assumes no responsibility for data.
